As an Asian myself, I can say that there probably are some general facial distinctions amongst different Asians. For example, Pacific Islanders tend to have darker skin tones, Japanese tend to have round eyes and light complexion, etc. However, these are just generalizations. There is no formula that spells out, “Aha, she is Korean.” Even for Asians, it can be hard to tell the difference.Â
Want empirical evidence? I just came across this hilarious site called “All Look Same” www.alllooksame.com. I took this test and got 8 out of 18 right. The average is 7 out of 18. Here’s a sample. This will be a challenge!

Daisaku Ikeda is the President of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a lay Buddhist organization that fosters world peace, culture, and education through Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism. There are currently 12 million SGI members in over 190 countries. As a Buddhist thinker and educator, Daisaku Ikeda has met and dialogued with many prominent educators, politicians, and humanistic thinkers, such as Nelson Mandela, Arnold Toynbee, Mikhail Gorbachev, Rosa Parks, Linus Pauling, to name a few.Â
For his movements to promote world peace, Daisaku Ikeda has received numerous humanitarian awards and has received over 200 honorary doctorate degrees from universities around the world. He is currently 78 years old and resides in Japan.

It’s hard to imagine that just a few years back, this former reigning pop princess won the hearts of so many Americans. Britney Spears was a wholesome southern gal; she represented the all-American girl. With her southern belle charms and vow of virginity until marriage, Britney was the bona fide role model for young teens to idolize. So then what the hell happened to her?
